When debuting the new song "I Don't Get It" live for the first time, Bryce recited a poem before the song. For some reason, that poem struck a chord with a lot of people, requesting it be recorded. After recording this, the idea for the "new EP" the group was recording changed from a short EP, to a full-length album, with short tracks scattered intermittently throughout the album. This track was the first.
